Might I suggest this instead of a Bead Counter.

I have bead counters and switched to these and have never looked back.

They are plastic and light and I hang one from a neck lanyard and click it as they go in the livewell.

Type in the search bar Bluecell Tally Counter

A pack of 5 for $10.

Just a suggestion.

Contact Pepop for info where to get the bean counters. I have a couple and have given other as presents. Just cannot recall the company name since it changed....
