If you will spend a little time with her, she will take to the spinning reel. All spin-casts are junk and you will spend much more time trying to help her resolve issues than fishing. With just a little practice, she will thank you later.
I can't disagree with you, and to us who know the difference they are junk...but as a father and husband, I can say it has been a long time coming and both of my boys are throwing baitcasters and spinning reels... My wife however refuses to throw a spinning reel or baitcaster... She loves to fish and goes with me occasionally, because of this I accommodate her with the best quality of whatever she will throw... And that is a variety of old and new spincast reels.
The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?
