There are several anglers who do. For what I have read on past post they seem to have pretty good results. thumb

Side Note. As for me my local Walmart has a pretty good supply of nice fresh Night Crawlers. hooked

I have tried raising both crickets and worms. If you devote the time and create a suitable habitat it can be done. But I want to emphasize that it is not worth the effort. You will certainly not save any money.

As Chuck says the local Walmart has a good supply of worms. I think Academy is the best source if you have a handy store.

Crickets are more of a problem but they can be ordered on line. Pet Smart has a few usually but they just order small crickets from Armstrong to resale and mark the price up outrageously.

I know the crickets are cheap from the online farms.. maybe just build a thing to keep the left over ones that I don't use if I buy 250 or so, if they breed they breed , will just want to keep them alive till next trip.

Best plan I've seen was right here. Buy big box of crickets and put box directly in freezer. Later remove box and put crickets in medicine bottles or quarter tubes and back in freezer. Grab a tube and go fishing. Frozen crickets are as good as live I hear.

I started my worm farm with the leftover worms i got from walmart. Now i have a 5 gallon bucket full. Started it with about 12 worms, shredded newspaper and a old bag of lettuce.

Don't fish with either. If I did It would be with worms from Walmart or Academy.

Don't use them. If I did I would be going to my local Walmart.
