I just bought the $20 one from Academy. Mister Twister. I had never used one before this, and I can honestly say a regret in my life is not having one before. My gosh it's so much easier to fillet cats. Now I can't say how long the blades and/or motor last, but just in the few times I've used it, it's worked flawlessly and saves well more than $20 of my time.

Thx, man. I was wondering if the Mr. Twister was any good. For 20 buck you can buy new if they burn out.

Yeah, I'm tired of using a regular fillet knife. I need something that will go ahead an get the god done!

Mr.Twister is at best a C+ knife.

American Angler Pro Series, shark blades. For the average fisherman that knife will last prob 5 years +

To put into perspective I only clean fish roughly 5-10 times a year with mine. I catch what I can eat for about a month and then go try for more so my use isn't daily/weekly like some. That's why I went with the cheaper one.

* I have a MR Twister, the blue and white one, it is not too good. Cleaning stripers and pretty much any fish over 3 lbs really taxes its butt.

Keep the receipt on those American Anglers, WalMart will make em good for 90 days. I've taken three back in the past few months. Getting hot and the on off button not disengaging the motor. They are not and end all do all but the best available that I know of.
and I don't cut thru any bones just meat.
