My kayak STRIPER had a Hobie Click N Go mount point fail on me. Threads ripped right out of the wood. Might have been a disaster except I had already planned on moving the Click N Gos to STRIPER2. Gutted STRIPER and gave it to the neighbor and then ended up helping him to convert it to paddle only.

Been working some long hours in the heat trying to get STRIPER2 ready for the fishing.
Installed the cooler seal and hinges this morning and then installed the Humminbird Helix 5 G2 Chirp Sonar/GPS.
Going to take it out tomorrow.

Not totally finished but it is fishable.

That's astounding. Do you have any more info on it? Perhaps a video, page, gallery, etc?

How many hours do you have in that?

Beautiful boat, by the way.

I started it in the middle of February and worked on some, most days since. No idea how many hours. Lots.

Slimed it today. Kept 13.

Still lots of work.

Very stable. Tracks really good when padding. Very little hull slap. Lots of room in the front hatch. Cooler is huge.

Still lots of stuff to do.
Rear drain plug leaked real bad. Fixed with marine lube.
Too much water coming up the Mirage well when pedaling. Made a Hobie like seal. Needs more work.
Click N Go bolts failed. Had to completely redo with nuts and fender washers from the bottom side and then fill in the holes.
Bunch of other stuff. Nothing that can't be fixed.
