I don't think it's necessarily better than clear, but I also think it doesn't make a difference. If you think about it, most lakes have a greenish tint to them already. However, I can see where using green fluorocarbon might have an advantage around vegetation. Overall, I don't think it makes a huge difference.
As far as brands go, I prefer Sunline FC Sniper. They make a green flourocarbon.

I thought the purpose of Fluorocarbon was it's ability to "disappear" in the water? Does Green disappear better than Clear, or yellow or pink or orange or zebra striped???

I've never had any major problems with the Trilene. It seems to me the green is the most invisible under water especially near vegetation.

Sunline makes sniper fc in green I like the sniper, but the trilene 100% grn is very good also.. Only problem I have with flowcarb is line twist once it's stretched by a good size fish.. And the price..
