As many of you know, Ron aka BluNitro manufactures the liftsaver. He developed it because when loading and unloading his boat, it was damaging the xi5, the way it hangs off the front of boats. I hadn't bought one, because I have a deep Vee, and don't have trouble with it hitting while launching or loading. However, I did have this problem.

The custom cover the previous owner bought fit great with the old trolling motor. It wouldn't cover the front end with the xi5. Well, I put on an xi5, and now, my cover fits.

An added bonus is that I can retract it when pulling up to docks. Just figured I would let y'all know this solved one problem I was having in case y'all see that also. It was a whole lot cheaper than a new custom cover.

Ron is a good guy, LiftSaver is a great product, and a very versatile peace of equipment. Thanks for sharing DaveDave.

Love my Lift Saver. On steep ramps, it's an absolute must. When your loading the boat on the trailer and it has barely made contact with the bunk boards, there's just not enough of an angle to get the nose up. If you pull the trailer up, you can't get it on the trailer all the way with the motor. That's where the LiftSaver shines, especially if you fish alone a lot like me. Also enlarges the surface area of the mount, which is VERY small on these motors with respect to their weight. My fiberglass on my bow used to flex when I'd turn the trolling motor on high. It's solid as a rock now with the Lift Saver.

Ron is a great guy and took his time explaining the install to me and what to look out for to make sure it turned out perfect, and it did!

It's a veteran move. When the other boaters see you at the launch without a prop they know you are an idiot & no one follows you to your fishing holes.....lol.
