is how we caught most of our fish today. We would actually try to hang our jig on the brush and then shake it loose and wait for the bite. Found a few under one particular boat house but other than that is was all brush piles. The bite today was very light....had to watch your line closely. Finished with 29 keepers.
Dividing up the bounty...

Good stuff!!...looks like I need to take a weekday off...glad you got on em.

The driving force and secret desire of every bass fisherman, is to one day be a crappie fisherman............Could it be that the good Lord just smilies and looks the other way when a fisherman tells a lie?

Nice catch man! cheers

I notice you are from Beckville.

I graduated from Tatum and we lived 1 mile from the Sabine River on 959, the cut through road from 43 to Beckville, for about 7 years.

I spent many a day on Martin Lake but way more days on the banks of the Sabine! cool

Yes sir, I've pulled many bass and crappie out of Martin. I retired from the Tatum mine a couple years ago. I bet we know a lot of the same people.

It was really hot. We should have left a lot sooner than we did. When it's too hot to touch anything in the boat then it's time to go to the caf.

My retirement date is set for Nov. 9 then I will be out there with you everyday. When I really got jealous was the day you posted that you did not catch any on Naconiche so you loaded up and went to Murval and caught em there. Retirement must be good.

Later...don
