Athens does have a good sized area around the ramp that I have seen people fish from, but for the most part it is surrounded by houses.

I agree. this topic has "been there done that." There are plenty of sections to find interesting information. Let's concentrate on and stop worrying about how far down the page we are.

Had a great time at the Belton Bunch fish fry. I am a crappie woman but I think whites and hybrids are going to be added to the list. I heard so many exciting stories. Can't wait to try my hand at it.

I would like to add my name to the proud female angler list. It's been a while since I have been fishing, my youngest are 3 and 5, but since getting divorced, I now have time to myself to actually get out and get started fishing again.

I have just moved to Belton. I do not know the best fishing spots or how to go about catching what's around, but I'm excited to at least make the attempt. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I made it to the Belton FF this weekend late, but managed to meet a couple of great people. DBwoman, thanks so much for allowing me to break into your conversation. I really enjoyed meeting and chatting with you. I even won one of the door prizes, which my daughter promptly claimed... the small fishing net.

I have a kayak but not much experience with it. I'd like to find someone in the area to go fishing with, either another kayaker (I'd rather have someone with me until I am more comfortable on it.) or someone who has a boat who wouldn't mind taking me out with them. I have tried bank fishing on the lake in several spots with no success. I did manage to catch some bluegill on Leon River this afternoon though.

Ummm, here? I am sorda new, but my husband and I do not post much so we share the sign in. I may change that in the very new future. Please forgive me for saying, I only just now found the "Lady Angler" section. Usually I check most of the salt water stuff and photos(of course), then post a pic or two and move on.
