I had Mike and his son Hayden out this morning on Lewisville. I thought we might be in for a super hot morning and Mother Nature decided otherwise. We got wet and it was a bit chilly for this time of year. The fishing started out slow but finished really good. They threw back around 50 cats, 8 nice hybrids and a couple of white bass. Pretty solid day with both guys catching their personal best blue cats and hybrids. Hayden caught a 26" pig hybrid. www.ntxfishing.net to book your trip.

Great job! I'd love to see some detail pics of that live well!

Jacky ... Are you fishing with live shad or lures? Never have done live shad on LL. Just curious. Thanks.

Using live shad and cut fresh shad both. Seems like we catch the biggest hybrids on cut shad close to the bottom. Been anchoring up and chumming cut shad with the light winds. Normally drift with cut shad when we have some wind. 22-35ft right now is the target depth. Had people slabbing all around me yesterday with no fish caught that I observed. It was a pretty big boat show several different times.

Thanks Jacky. Maybe we'll try some shad next time. Any easy spots/best times to catch them? We've only caught them at Texoma, never at LL.

Just scan some main lake humps and ledges. You will find some bait and fish somewhere. They are being caught in many different areas right now. Lewisville has a good healthy population of big hybrids this year. Last year we saw a lot of 16"-17" fish.
