Yesterday I'm flipping through the channels and come across a Jimmy Houston show and start watching.
The best show I've seen in a while,...he's pushing this Rick Clunn crank bait on how great it is for bass,..yada yada.
His guest is the current Miss Oklahoma, and she throwing the crank bait off the back of the boat on a spinning rod.
The funniest thing is she hooks a monster crappie, big black giant. Jimmy is laughing and tells her thats not what there looking for.
He catches a few dink basses, and she catches another giant black, so he starts to say how these crank baits can catch anything,..
then she catches a third big black,..and he is dumbfounded,...she's got three giant crappie on a bait he's trying to sell to the bass fisherman..
great show... hooked

I saw that episode. Those crappie were huge. Jimmy was more interested in trying to steal a kiss from Miss Oklahoma.

was that episode filmed at his private lake in OK. I read an article, maybe here, that said that the dam broke a while back and several 10plus lb bass got released into a creek that fed the washita river that eventually leads to Texoma. any truth to that?
