Was with some buddies a few weeks ago on a small public lake, known for pretty good LMB. He had 2 nice submerged lights sunk off his dock in about 10 foot of water and at night you could easily see 2+ lb largemouths cruising back and forth between the lights. I was thinking it would be a piece of cake to drag a T-rigged trick worm through the area and they'd eat it up, but they WERE NOT INTERESTED WHAT-SO-EVER. You could easily see the worm jigging through the light and most you could get was maybe a head turn from one of the fish as it passed by. Played with different retrieves for about 30 min, finally just set the rod down and popped a top. I know the fish are pressured on that lake, but curious what some better tactics would be for 'night sight fishing' like this. (wish I had a buzzbait on me, think that may have caused a reaction).

Throw a small, 3" paddle tail swimbait through the lights. Thank me later.

I'd suggest throwing something like a spoon or something with some shine. Mostly anything that looks like a baitfish because the reason those bass are there, is because there is bait hanging out by the light.

Square bills work well. Sometimes bring it into the light and let it float when they look at it, start telling and you get a reaction bite. If you want to t-rig or use a jig, don't throw into the light, fish the edge in the dark where bass who are feeding are waiting to ambush. A dropshot also works in the light. Some times they are just picky

Work the fringes as well. Those aren't the only fish there. Throw where you can't see your bait and stay back

Forget the worm. They are`nt feeding on them. Try n match what they are seeing and fish away from the light.Fluke or Jig presentation should get you bit.

I'd go with threadfin shad and if that doesn't work then you've got carp around your dock lights.

Square bills will normally catch them but some days color does matter as well as the wobble and then some days it's just a matter of being there at the right time. I gave a square bill to a friend and he was catching them left and right. I only had one that color and usually they aren't that picky but that night they would not bite any other color.
