There are quite a few DFW Euro carpers. They rarely post in this section anymore. Most post on Facebook. White Rock lake is pretty popular for the Dallas carpers. I fish the East Texas lakes in my area.

I browsed the TFF Facebook page. I could not find any posts on carp fishing for the last two years.

I tried boilies and a hair rig but cannot catch fish. I do not use those long rods and bite indicators. Just an old bass rod and reel with a basic carolina rig and home made dough bait.

I fish from my buddies boat slip. TONS of carp and buffs in there.

Boilies won't always catch fish by themselves. It's the method mix that most euro carpets use that draws them in.

I'm a hack at it but I do enjoy carp fishing. I'm in Arlington but usually go way out west or way east to fish, I'm not a big fan of the crowds around DFW but will occasionally go to Grapevine early and beat the crowd.

thanks, my dough bait seems to work pretty well. I throw a handful of alfalfa pellets in the water before I start fishing. cheap and I feel it brings em in.

Big time Carp/Buffalo Euro style angler here. Been doing it a very long time. This year I'm also targeting Catfish using Euro style methods. Good times. smile

Very cool. I am a rookie at the euro methods but have been doing well lately. Also caught some big cats today.
