I'm new to the forum and new to electronics but I'm trying to get my nitro rigged out. I have a Lowrance SLX 112-c with a skimmer transducer with this era of Lowrance what would be my best option for mapping and fishing hotspots? And also could I network a newer graph with this one? Appreciate any help!

You are really limited on options with the LCX-112 only being able to handle 2GB data mapping cards since most of the new cards are 16GB, but there is still a couple of options. You can run a Nav+ card that allows you to download the lakes you want to fish to create your own custom card. As you download, there is a status bar to the left that will show you how much data is being loaded to the card, as long as you keep it to 2GB or smaller this card will work great. Another option would be to find a used Premium card(card has been discontinued from production but you can usually find them pretty easy if this is the option you decide to go. Let me know if you have any questions. Here is a link where to find the compatibility guide for future reference: https://www.navionics.com/usa/support/compatibility-guides/

Not a problem and glad to help, did you end up getting it setup like you wanted?
