I'll be driving through East Texas later this month. Any good locations for Crappie? Thanks.

Tawakoni and Palestine bridges should be holding fish right now. Good luck.

Never done it . . . but Mill Creek Reservoir in Canton just behind the Walmart has crappie. Too, if you go to the TPWD website, they show where they dropped man-made fish attractors. You'll need a float tube to access the two or so areas where these are found. No fee required unless you use the ramp and a boat. Kayaks are free so I am sure a tube would be.

The bridges others suggested would work! Or drive to Millwood and kick around for some monster slabs while warding off the cypress lizards! How quick can you get that tube on plane??? scared
