Going with the fam next week (they love the lake, have for years) and we'll be staying in the mid lake area. From what I've read on here Rayburn appears to be fishing well/better so I may be making a drive a couple of times. How's TB been fishing? Is it true the grass/hydrilla is gone?

There recently had a small issue getting boat off trailer because of the grass..I am no TB expert but I saw Hydrilla and plenty of it. Not like Sam though both so close to each other but different Lakes huh.

Good to hear. How deep will they go out there? I've caught em in about 20-25. Never really looked much deeper than that.

Thanks

Rule of thumb the closer to dam you get, the deeper they school. Like 30-40ft

Thanks guys. "Deep" can be relative and you never really know sometimes. I've got some really deep lakes here in central Texas (Travis) where they almost disappear 50'+. I've always wondered if I was going out far enough at times or what I was seeing on my charts were actually bass and not some other species.
