They have to eat. Fish at night.

I've been fishing a 35 acre private lake for 10 years now, and believe it or not we will catch them in 6 inches of water in August in the middle of the day. Just sit back and watch them go after dragon flies. They will bite if you throw the right thing at them.

I am talking 2 -5 acre ponds. Thick vegetation. What would yall throw. I have tried swim jigs. Frogs. Large plastic worms have done okay but the vegetation has been so thick it hard to work.

Punch it with 1-2oz tungsten and a beaver(insert your flipping bait of choice).

Might try a weightless worm or fluke. Skip it over the top of the thick areas and let it sink when it goes over an open spot.
