Needing to up my deep water game so who makes the best(for the money)rod? What's the shortest you can get by with?

"Best" and "for the money" typically don't belong in the same sentence. I use a Power Tackle PG104 which is a 7' 6" rod. I think that is the perfect length for a c-rig.
