Minn kota Ultrex question

I recently got lucky and found a "used" minn kota ultrex 112 in the classifieds and purchased it... is there anyway to transfer the warrenty? No problems out of it but I've heard of other with issues and want to be prepared. Thanks

I believe if you have a problem just bring it to authorized repair shop and they look up the serial number to see how old it is for the warranty. I never registered mine and they have replaced 2 issues so far without a problem through sartin marine.

Yes, this is correct. The registering they have you do online is just a marketing gimmick to collect information on their customers.

Hopefully you were fortunate enough to get the receipt with it. When you go to get it serviced they will run the serial number. This will come back with the date it left the factory. Obviously this date could be 4-6 months prior to the actual purchase date. Being an Ultrex I seriously doubt if the "left the factory" date and actually "sold" date is much different, but it might give you a month or two extra on your warranty.
