I guess Texas doesn't have the best places to fish if MLF is the indicator- Aaron Martens caught almost as many pounds of fish in one day on MLF in Minnesota as 2 days total on lake Nacogdoches. Nowhere MLF has fished produced like Grand Rapids, Minnesota for totals pounds caught and it was not just the top man - several caught a lot of pounds in one day

Lived in MN for 16 years and the fishing is incredible and the winters are just as incredible that's why I live in Texas now.

If you like catching one pound fish all day. How many 5-10 pound fish have MN lakes produced versus TX lakes? I rest my case.

Fish on a lake that has smallmouth, largemouth and spots in an environment where they are considered trash fish and get very little pressure and you're going to catch huge numbers of fish. So yes, in an MLF format where it's total fish vs best five fish, that type of lake will produce the most weight.
I don't think that surprises anyone.

In the northern states the season is condensed and the fishing is better for numbers than lakes here in the summer-but then you have 6 months of winter. No thanks.

Won't catch me there, 2 reasons. Too dam cold and this dude is there,

Martens spent the whole time bitchin' about stumps on Naconiche, instead of fishing.
