It took a 5 pound average to win the BASS event up there last season. I doubt you have ever caught a 5 pound smallie in tx.

Plus the chance to target 50" musky and no crackheads to steal your gear at the ramp, sounds like heaven to me.

eeks......... there have been some pretty damn big smallies from Texas and absolute giants from other southern states..... look up Georgia. I myself have caught one right at 5 lbs. in Texas.

Catch a 5 pound average over 3-4 days then come and talk to me.

I know of a couple 20+ pound bags of smallies caught in Colo tournaments and I dont get anally sore if someone rips our smallie fishing.

No offense man but do you look at tournament results around here? No, we don't just grow smallmouths big, we grow both. What I don't get is that you come on TEXAS fishing forum and complain. If you state was so good then where's y'alls bass dishing forum at?

I dont complain, i respond to nonsense with facts.

If you have records of multiday 25+ pound average with all smallies post them up. Im not saying it has never happened but Ive never seen it and I am saying its a common occurrence up north.

What I'm saying is your on a TEXAS forum. Do you have proof of multiple days over 20lbs of largemouth? Can you even catch largemouth over 10lbs up there regularly? We can catch smallies over 5 and largies over 10 on a regular basis. The FACT is your little northern record was just broken by TEXAS

Here's some facts for you about fishing Minnesota lakes.

That's because just about everyone up there fishes for Walleye's, there just isn't that much pressure on the bass population.

Texas is wonderful.

But ONE thing is for sure...

have all been in Texas and all wearing jeans
