I guess Texas doesn't have the best places to fish if MLF is the indicator- Aaron Martens caught almost as many pounds of fish in one day on MLF in Minnesota as 2 days total on lake Nacogdoches. Nowhere MLF has fished produced like Grand Rapids, Minnesota for totals pounds caught and it was not just the top man - several caught a lot of pounds in one day Fine with me if they go back. Won't catch me there, 2 reasons. Too dam cold and this dude is there,  I'm with Him.. (in Bill Dance's voice) 1st thing I thought of when the word Minnesota came up..good one GIG'EM .  ***Sorry Tournament Anglers I usually don't mess with Unders*** 
In order to catch Big Fish..Sometimes you gotta Suffer.

How am I trolling Mark?
Someone said something about 1 pound fish in MN and I posted real numbers (rounded down) from a Bassmater Elite tourney. The butthurt, boiled brain comments etc...then again you knew that when you posted them.

I think the heat is boiling some brains down there....
There are no less than 1000 lakes in MN that are better than the top 1 in tx for smallies.
As for me moving, thats the plan. Deep winter months in deep TX and hot summers in MN and archery hunt in between for giant public land whitetail. Internet bragging at a new level. Not just about fish, but states. This is great. What's next? We going to start bragging about sand bass and hybrids? Texas has some of the best perch in the country!  I will say that ice fishing here in Texas really sucks.

I will say, "perch" means different things in the 2 states. One calls a perch a perch, one calls anything less than a 10" fish a perch 
There are no fish in sonic pond EDIT: Except 1 20lb catfish
