Hello every one new too the forum here. I have lived in bryan my whole life and just recently moved to snook area haven't fished Somerville much but that's going to change since m a little closer.
My wife's family is going to overlook park for the next few days and she wants to go and hangout with the family. I got bit by the fishing bug and I want to fish.
I just got a kayak awhile back and have only played around on it in a big private lake and thought this would be a good time to use it. I figured I could put in below the damn and float a ways and she could pick me up at the high way when I'm done. I was just wanting to see if anyone has done this I have been looking online and the only thing I'm seeing is people going up the yegua from the lake. Does any one go down it from the dam and how is the fishing. If that doesn't pan out I would like to chunk some flies somewhere but don't have a clue where . I'm new to flyfishing and have only been trying it on skinny water reds so I don't have a clue what to look for or where to go in this situation . Any advice will be appreciated. Have a good weekend
