Anyone fish there? I live about an hour 1/2 from this lake. Wondering if it's worth the trip. I can find my own spots, so im not looking to anyone to give up any. I google earthed the lake, but the overhead view is when the lake at 1/4 full. The lake appears to have plenty of docks and see a bridge that looks to hold plenty of fish and one end looks better than the other. I've read the TPWD reports and they say the lake is excellent for white crappie. Any info on where not to go would be appreciated.
Thank You
Kenneth

Good crappie fishing in the winter in Hubbard Creek. Hit or miss the rest of the year.

I fished there before the lake fell 33 feet during the drought. The creek itself had some huge slabs. Then the drought, then the flood, I was kinda waiting for the crappie to recover and I think it is about time to go back. It is one good crappie lake, just takes me about little over an hour to get there from Mineral Wells. Leon is a pretty good little lake too.
