can someone tell me a lane to get up in there. I've seen tons of people do it and have ran about a quarter way in myself, I just need some help with it.

which Caney Creek? Both Rayburn and Conroe have Little Caney Creek that I know of maybe more. Take a look at the Navionics web site. It has boat lanes and buoys for any lake.

I fish in it quite a bit. I see boats running it but I still find stumps where it looks open. You won't catch me running it. You might try the boatlanes chip and see if it has a lane marked. I have it on one of my humminbirds but just never use it and still don't trust running it if I did.

I grew up fishing Caney. Me and grandad marked our own boat lanes in late 80's. Good times!

The boatlanes chip is right on with the one I made years ago. Never had an issue running it back to Hide-away.

We call it running the Chute right down the middle, just when you think your a pro at it, the lake drops 3 feet and you see stumps and you think what the heck was I thinking. My dad has a place at Hideway Harbor so I've always done it, If you haven't done it when the lake is low, then don't do it. There are two spots that I pucker up when I run thru there.

Lance's Vick's Boat Lanes chip is dead on, but you better zoom in and stay dead on the lines between waypoints. I wouldn't run it all the way to the back if the lake is very low. I ran it at two feet low last time I was there.

I was using Lance's chip and hit a stump right in the middle of the line. the lake was down only about 2 feet best I remember. I pucker up every time I get close to that area. I marked the stump so I know where its at and I have never hit it at full pool but when the water starts dropping I get scared........

Idling is a lot safer if you don't have a trail. As stated there are 2 big stumps right in the middle.
