Wife and I made a quick trip to her parents home where she grew up over the weekend to do a little cleaning and tree pruning. Her parents both passed away several years ago but we hung on to the house partly because it's located about 6 miles from Lake Of The Pines. As we were rummaging around in her dad's garage I cam across this little green tool box.
He was a mechanic at Lone Star Steel for over 30 years so I figured it was full of tools. I put it in the back of the truck and told wife I was going to take it home with me.
When I got home, I opened the box and thought what are these.
Turns out they were bullet molds used to make lead bullets. I eased the top tray out and low and behold there were 35 2 pound lead billets in the bottom of the box.
Not into making bullets, but I see a lot of jig heads in my future. Never know what you will find just poking around.
