I want to go out Tuesday morning. Any recommendations for lakes that would be "safer" to try on a holiday.
We went to Navarro Mills today and it was a cluster... ski boats flying by within 20 yards of us.
I live in Waxahachie, so that's the easiest, but I'd be willing to drive a little for a lake that's having pretty good results, and hopefully wouldn't be full of big boats.

Most all lakes have shallow areas where big boats cant get or just choose not to go. Id look for shallow areas or trees.

Lake Clark in Ennis or the Old City lake in Ennis would be closest
Houston County shouldn't be that busy.
