Great Bass, just wondering about the kiddos without a PFD on the water
If it's legal ain't no way in hell it's catch and release, it's CATCH & GREASE, except ROUGH (TRASH) Fish

Sorry but technically yes they are if your not at anchor or tied to something you are considered underway.

Not trying to stir up anything fellows, I am a father of two, they both know how to swim, in the lakes they always have PFD. Just the dad in me talking; that's all

Sorry but technically yes they are if your not at anchor or tied to something you are considered underway. No need to apologize. I know the TPWD definition of "underway." Since they were drowning shad, I assumed they were either at anchor or power polled down.

I am probably wrong,but I thought children under a certain age were required to wear a pfd at all times.Please let me know if I am wrong.Thanks in advance.By the way GREAT job with the kiddos dad.You will never forget time spent with your children.

http://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/boat/safety/life_jackets/Children under 13 years of age in or on vessels under 26 feet must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved wearable PFD while underway. So, if you're not anchored, tied to some permanent mooring structure or beached, you are underway
