I'm just tired of sending my $250 pair of Jose's in every year to have the rubber trim re-glued. It costs $12 for their warranty processing and about $8 for shipping. I want to see about trading them for a pair of Corbina's that don't have that rubber trim piece.

A lot of the newer styles do not have the rubberized parts. Reeftons, Blokes, etc.

Do you apply sunblock to your nose? It's one of the causes along with leaving your glasses in direct sunlight, in your vehicle on dashboard. Not saying your at fault, but if you were unaware maybe that info will help make them last longer. I recently used super glue gel on my nose piece. Worked but looks like a 2 year old did it.

No sunblock....I wear a buff.

Always stored in the case inside my center console while put away in my truck.

You really send them back for a piece of rubber falling off? Just glue them yourself with some thread glue and it'll never fall off again.

it disappeared before I realized it was falling off.....I assume in the lake or parking lot.

My others have somewhat melted/degraded beyond gluing....maybe I have toxic sweat!

Ahh yea that's a different story.

I've owned many Costa's over the years and the rubber pieces falling off just happen at times. I will say I used to keep them in my truck when not wearing and I quit doing that and my current pair I've had for 2+ years with. Nothing coming off them.

The pair of Costas I had the rubber came off but the second pair I bought I've kept in the case when not wearing them. My problem is getting a good band that holds them on my neck when I pull them off or hang them on my cap. Think the last rubber that I put on the frames were Maui or something like that. It has lasted about a year and now the lubber ends are starting to slip. Wish they had a neck strap that was made into the plastic frame ear pieces so I could dangle them around my neck.
