I hate the way my kill switch attaches to my life jacket. Has anyone found something that is easier to connect/disconnect that won't take away from the safety factor?

I used a tiny carbiner when the plastic clip broke on one of my previous lanyards. Test any connection multiple times/ways. Failure isn't an option!

I removed the plastic hook from my lanyard and replaced with a small metal carabiner. Much easier and probably just as secure.

Easiest and best thing ever. It's a wristband lanyard used on a jet ski. http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-SUPERJET-SJ-WAVERUNNER-GP-XL-VX-VXR-RAIDER-LX-SHO-NEW-WRIST-VEST-LANYARD-/132221532640?epid=1711818173&hash=item1ec90479e0:g:r0UAAOSwsFpWSgQY&vxp=mtr

My lifejacket had a D-ring. I attach it to that.

I use 2 snap lock carabiners. One on the D-Ring on my vest and the other on the kill switch cord. Fast and easy.

My boat dies if I let off the gas....don't need a kill switch to complicate things.

lowes or home depot, take off the plastic thing and put your kill switch thing on. I put one on my inflatable due to being tired of the lanyard being a pita.

Mine stays hooked to the lifejacket all day. I take the jacket off when I stop so its not inconvenient.
Pick up the jacket and put it on. Sit down and start the motor. Go.
Repeat as necessary.

Hop,
Inspect the cord and reel regularly. It rubs on the housing and frays easily. I snapped two of them just using it as a badge holder reaching to the readers.
