has anyone lost the use of the their electronic 4x4 switch, if so have you repaired it, what was cost of repair. i understand it could be a TIPM issue.

No.

What year and model is the truck?
Do you know what part is not working? Is it the switch in the dash? or is it the actuator under the truck?

looks like shift module and tipm on that year model burn out. It also looks like it repeats itself again after repaired.
