My brother and I are headed to Galveston next weekend (July 7-9) and I'd really like for him to catch a red. I caught a monster off of the 61st Pier in May and he isn't believing me when I tell him how strong they are. So with no boat in our picture, where would you guys recommend as the best place to take him? We'll be staying near the seawall. I love pier fishing, and don't mind soaking bait at either of the big ones, but that seems like dumb luck sometimes moreso than actually targeting reds. Happy to do it though if that's the best bet....and I do owe an $$$-whoopin' to a Jack Crevalle out there who cost me a rod tip last time! We've got all the tackle world....Just need to know where to throw it at 'em.

Any thoughts?

Matt
