So I was fishing last weekend and went to make a cast and the whole rod butt fell off in the lake. this is an old BPS rod but I still like it. Is it worth fixing or should I just replace it?

If it were me , I would buy a larger piece of cork knob from the hardware store, file down the end to fit into the existing cork butt end and then glue it in. Done fixed. I wouldn't get a custom piece made to fit. This is an easy do-it-yourself fix or you can find a round rubber leg foot, and just slide it over the existing butt end. Cheap, effective and easy.

I have a hard time just throwing stuff away that I can use or fix.

I'd probably use it again, but if the weight feels to awkward, then get a new one.

I'd say "glue" it back, but you mentioned it fell in the water. Is there something else you can use to add weight?
