Thinking of going from lavon to ray Hubbard in my canoe does anyone know if it is good fishing this time of the year through there?

It's been a couple of months since I've been up there but it was great for numbers but not quality for me the last few times up there.

I always enjoy fishing the river if they are biting or not.

My son and I put the yaks in at 78 late winter, early spring when the sandies run and work our way down to Hubbard, never tried it in the summer. The north end of Hubbard doesn't seem to fish well in the summer, but that may just be me not doing it right. Take your camera for the gators sunning on the bank when you get near Hubbard.

it is decent for numbers but you wont get bigger fish till you get to where it opens into the lake. Small senko's, flukes, spinnerbaits, and frogs are good.
