Where does it grow primarily, south facing shorelines?

Two years ago, it was in Indian on the South side, but it was also in Buck East of the bridge on both sides. In the hayday it was on the big flat Southwest of Wolf Island, so I wouldn't just say it's on southern shorelines. It will come back in shallow water, if the water level will just stay constant. We went thru a 5 year drought that ended in 2015, and we had two floods that came up so high since then it closed most of the boat ramps as they were flooded. I guess Ray Roberts isn't a very fertile lake as compared to an east Texas lake. Big Sam and Toledo Bend replenish itself with grass even in drastic water level fluctuations, but not at RR, can't explain it.

I remember the growth next to Wolf island, that was great stuff! But I hear and sometimes see posts about grass in Ray Roberts but I can't find the stuff. I was just trying to get a general idea of where to look.

The grass used to be almost everywhere, Wolf, Indian, Sand Branch, State Park, Lick & Walnut. In fact, last low water event the back of Lick was almost choked out by the grass. I have seen it come and go, but when the flooding happens, it seems to take several years to come back. It seems to recover in some creeks better than others.

Be careful what you hear on this forum! like the windmill. There is no windmill. You think the USACOE would leave a windmill up in a lake?

So, no need to look on main lake just up in the creeks?

As long as we have a bunch of guys who know a bunch about Ray Roberts, can I ask how you / we get the TPWD guys to lower the ramps at the boat ramps? These things are at precisely the wrong depth right now, and the depth isn't changing so much so fast that they need to just do nothing. Or, am I talking crazy?

My memory is certainly poor but didn't they do that right after they opened the lake and found most if not all the boat ramps were too low?
