The last couple of weeks fishing on Lake Fork has gone from good to phenomenal. I haven't caught many giants this month but the numbers of quality fish have given my clients a lot of action on the water. Just this Saturday we had 40 + fish for the day and on our evening trips we are averaging 15 - 30 depending on the conditions. I started finding some larger fish the past week and I am excited to see what July will bring.

The water level on Lake Fork is 403.06 and the temps are from lower to mid 80's.

During the morning hours my clients are catching fish on a Spook Jr. (chrome and blue) and Underspins. We are also throwing a weightless fluke (white/disco violet) and catching some on square bills. I like to focus these baits in 1' - 4' around main lake points.
The offshore bite has been most consistent, so I am targeting main lake points, roadbeds and humps out deep in 20' - 30'. I am using several different techniques right now to catch these fish but the Drop shot has been catching most. I like to set my Drop shot up with a 5/16 oz weight, #1 rigging hook (Tomato). If you are up at Lake Fork Marina, go ahead and check out Buddy's Custom worms.

I am setting up my Carolina rig with a 5' leader, 1 oz weight and #3 hook. The two baits I am rigging up here have been either a fluke (watermelon gold) or a 4 inch centipede. Some of the other baits I have on are a 3/8 oz football head jig (PB&J) and a TX rig 10 inch power worm. I am using a 3/8 oz weight and a #4 or #5 hook for the TX rig.

I always have a swimbait, deep diving crankbait and flutter spoon on deck and ready to go. When we come across schooling fish, I like to have a weightless fluke (white) and a Spook (chrome) tied on.

Here are a few pictures from last month and I hope this report can help some of you coming to the lake. If you have any questions about myself or my guide services on Lake Fork, please feel free to call. I'm always available to help.
Whether youre a first time or seasoned angler, my goal is to work hard and offer my clients every opportunity to catch a fish of a life time here on Lake Fork. If you have any questions, please feel free to call.

Thanks, Eric Wright

The fishing right now on Lake Fork has been phenomenal and as I predicted in my last report we started to catch some bigger fish.

I have some days available this week and next and I would love to have y'all out. It's starting to get warm so remember we can always split up the day.

Here are a few pictures from the last two weeks. If y'all have any questions please feel free to call/text me directly - Thanks, Eric Wright 972 757 7947

Now that's how a fishing report should be written! Great job and thanks for all the details.

Appreciate it bud

I am still fishing exactly as I said in the report. We're catching a lot of schooling fish mid-day with a weightless fluke (disco violet) and for our deeper fish 21' - 25' the two best baits have been a drop shot (Tomato) or a big 10" worm on a biffle bug 3/8 oz (Watermelon Seed) If you want to come out and work with a drop shot now is a VERY good time. I have some days open and would love to have y'all. Best way to reach me is to just give me a call - Here's a few from the week.

Thanks, Eric Wright 972 757 7947
