I am needing some help and would like to get a few opinions. My wife has a robin egg blue Tarpon 120 that we bought new in 2011 that she is wanting to sell.
It has quite a few river miles on it, but the hull is still intact with no repairs on it. All handles and bungees are brand new. I am sure that she would sell with it as well.
What would be y'alls guess as to a price range? I have no clue how to price used kayaks. Thanks in advance. This is by no means a sale post, I am just looking for honest opinions.

Look around at comparable kayaks for sale on kayak forums or craigslist. Set a price. If it doesn't sell, lower the price. It's worth what someone will pay for it.

I think the reality is, the used yak market is pretty saturated, and some of the recent low cost entries to the market like Vibe have driven down prices even further. The best case scenario is that someone is looking for this exact kayak, and isn't making a compromise in their mind by buying yours. That could take some time. All that said, you're likely to get 500 to 700 for the kayak.

The good news is that you have a quality kayak to sell and one of the best in its category.

I bought one used in very good condition about 6 months ago. I believe it's a 2011 model as well. I paid $550 for it.

$400 - $600 depending on appearance with most emphasis on the top side. If it is clean and shiny on top, then $600. If the top is rough with scrapes and gouges, then $400.

Thank you all! I was thinking $400-$500 but just wasn't sure.

Post a pic. I'd possibly give $400.

Got my Tarpon 120 from Craigslist for $360. She threw in a Werner carbon fiber paddle as well. Great deal overall! It had 2inch diameter hole on the top, but I fixed with $5 Locktite epoxy, rock hard. The fabric of the rim of the seat is kinda deteriorate but still good condition. Usual scratches and what not...

It's very fast and tracks very well too! I cannot stand on it, I have an SOT Pelican 100X on which I could easily stand, but it is slow however.

I will take some good pictures of it this weekend and post them. The yak lives 3 hours away in Junction.
