A few, mostly crappie, but a few LMB and walleye are also being caught out of it. Don't know about smallies, though, might luck into one or 2, but maybe not. Hope this helps. Tight lines, keep safe and good luck.

Lake Meredith in tx was stocked last april with 2.7 million walleye fingerings that are now 13-14"! They stoked more walleye this april and some 40,000 small mouth.

Mostly what is being caught is green sunfish in the 6" range. Small bluegill and channel cat. One flathead in the 30# range was caught. Several nice size walleye. A few LMB here and there are caught. Buy and large crappie are the most targeted but the bite has slowed down a lot. Several 3 pounders were caught but most were 12-13" range and average 1.5#. If you go to sanford yake and hit the wavebreak (large run of tires you can catch a few but youre about out of luck. As i said the crappie bite is slowed considerably.

The lake experienced a heavy drout and an algae bloom which killed most all of the fish. Its going to take some time for the population to come back...

Most effective method for crappie has been a number 2-4 lasersharp hook (rotating) on 8-12" of 4-6# line under a small weight. Ive fished hard, easily spent 30 nights and days just this year at the lake. Ive spoke with every angler that could spare a moment of time and tried all the ideas from them and from the web. This has been the best so far. Just remember to use a fairly small minnow.

The best method for catfish seems to be 2 day old chicken liver with crappie attractants sprayed on it then rolled in garlic powder, or cut shad-bluegill. 35-40 feet deep.

For walleye troll a shad style shallow diving crank bait along the banks around the mouths of bays. Ive caught most of ours in 20-25 fow, with a 2-6 feet lure pulling it about 1.6-2. For some reason, every one we caught trolling was while traveling north. A wally diver or sexee shad or bandit 200 works well. Ive seen a few taken with a jigging spoon as well as caught several with small minnows. Statewide bag limits translates into being able to keep 2 under 16" per person per day. So take several friends with you who dont like to eat fish.

Perch (green sunfish) will eat minnows all day. Bluegills hit a soft hackle fly twitched slightly on the surface. No kidding, you could catch 100 in a few hours this way. Another effective method is a small salmon egg hook tied to 2-4# line with a single piece of corn and let it free fall... Probably wont see it sink 4 foot and youll have one. Problem is they will swallow the hook.

Carp are fun to catch. I find the salmon egg hook tied to a small dropper loop with corn to be very effective. Ive caught them on corn, worms and minnows.
