Start of rant...

I've been launching out of Buck for the last 15 years or more. There used to be 1 no parking sign where the parking spots stopped and the turn around area started. A couple of years ago they added a some new signs and move them further down to make sure nobody would park down by the dumpers and restrooms. Ever since people have gradually started to park further into the turnaround.

It was really bad this weekend. The entire gravel overflow lot was empty and there were about 10 parking spots open on the paved lot. Yet everyone wanted to park in the turnaround area. You couldn't even turn around. I had to back my trailer into the grass next to the restrooms to turn around.

If both lots were totally full I could see were someone might want to squeeze in an extra spot. But this is happening when it's not that busy.

I am not sure if they are just that lazy or stupid.

End of Rant...

A flat tire might be in order.

I am a Senager. (Senior teenager) I have everything that I wanted as a teenager, only 50 years later. I get an allowance every month. I have PU truck and a bass boat, I am blessed.

They are parking in the area that will be in the afternoon shade. It is very annoying when you can't use the turn around! They do it in the gravel lot too when it is really busy, park along the back where they will be in the afternoon shade behind people who are pulled in correctly. Took me a while to work my trailer out last time I was up there, somebody parked perpendicular and behind me making what amounted to a large T out of their rig and mine in the gravel lot. Many people do not have manors or give a [censored] about anybody but themselves.

See you on the lake and have a great day!

The Irish have a ritual they do to people that park in poor taste. They don't flatten your tires, but they let enough air out of the tires that the point is made for those that have enough brain power to heed the warning.

Hopefully the ranger from Roberts will see the post and help with issuing some tickets. I think he goes by Parkcop.

It probably did not bother them at all. But it sure got you wrapped around the axle. Take a deep breath, relax and go fishing.

Take a floor jack and completely jackknife the trailers so its a pain to get them straightened and backed out.

I just might do that...Could a couple of guys lift and move a trailer like that?

I sent him a PM about it asking to put another "No Parking" sign to help. Not sure how often he gets on TFF. I called the park office but you have to put in a formal complaint; fill out a form, have it notarized and so forth. I couldn't reach anyone from the that park police directly to make a request.

When I used that ramp always parked in the grass with the easiest shot of getting out to load the boat. I never used the paved or gravel area.

The only time I used the paved area was in late fall or early winter when there might be 6 to 7 people using the ramp.

During the Legend tourney on Fork, someone parked their truck and trailer in the handicapped parking 2 days in a row, and no handicapped tag visible. On the second day, they came back to find a nice note from the State.
