yes.. so far my experience with Lowes has been positive, as I special ordered the bathroom cabinets, jacuzzi tub, and some other stuff from then. They had decent quality stuff, called back to let me know delivery date, when arrived, etc.. and even had no problem returning the defective jacuzzi, etc. They seem to have a little better employee base working there.

I had a buddy in your area, he had almost 100 subs working for him and they dealt with Lowes only and he serviced the D/FW area. He told me Lowes would bend over backwards if his company did any damage inside a Lowes Customers home. He had to put Lowes on his insurance policy so they were an authorized agent.

I did the jacuzzi tub as well. Every once it a while it doesn't want to turn off after running for a while

Mine is 2.5 years old. No issues so far. Lowe's did me right.

No matter who you buy the carpet from, if the installer shows up with just a knee-kicker, you are going to have waves in a few months. Make sure he shows up with a power stretcher and make sure he uses it.

Here is a simple tutorial about what a power stretcher is and why and how your installer should be using it. Obviously, knee kickers are used in small closets and small bathrooms.

Another advantage is installers who use power stretchers most of the time do not ruin their knees like installers who use knee kickers to install carpet. Hubby never had problems with his knees.

The in-stock carpet Lowes sells is very good. I carpeted our entire house with it several years ago - a plush builder's beige color. I looked up the grading of carpets and found it to be a medium grade (much better that typical builder install). Cost about half of what some carpet stores wanted. I believe it is made by either Mohawk or Shaw who are supposed to be two of the better manufacturers.

And that right there is why I say I'll NEVER lay carpet again. Daddy had the bright idea that we could lay carpet just fine and save a few bucks on install. By about the third house with him doing his standard "supervising while holding a beer" I was done for life. NEVER AGAIN. There's some things you pay people to do right, and that's one.

Lowes is doing mine soon. Carpet and Laminate.

I can provide a full review when they are done. So far its been pretty painless.

Went and picked out my stuff on Sunday. Been looking for a while so I already knew what all I wanted. The sales guy made the notes and set up a measurement. $35 for the measurements like Moto said but they credit back if yall agree to a deal.

First available to measure was Friday. Guy came out. Was professional and a nice guy. Got it all done in 15 mins. answered all my questions about the install process.

They (Lowes) should get back to me today or tomorrow with a write up on all the prices and all. Then if it looks good, will schedule the install.

So far seem ok.
