Wrapping up a bathroom remodel where I did most of the work myself, with the exception of Tile/Granite install, and really not impressed with local company I used. Granted they were always there to try and fix everything that was incorrect, but honestly I don't feel I shouldn't have to ride over their contractors for poor workmanship, scheduling, No Habla Translation, etc.

Has anybody used Home Depot or Lowes for Carpeting, or should I try and find a local shop again to try and get this done.

Thanks

Get quotes from all 3. Let them know you are shopping it around and the best quote/customer service wins with comparable product.

I used Lowe's. They had a free installation deal going on. $39 measurement fee.

They have a good selection of carpet as well

If you are trying to carpet a house call Pad 2 at 214 634 7576, Milton is the owner. They are located in Downtown Dallas but they used to have the best rates on carpet in Dallas I used to use them almost weekly when I was flipping houses. There installers are good and leave a house clean.

If your just trying to get a room or two you would be best to check out Blowes or Homo Depot.

Does Milton deal in female sanitary product?

Do you like a 100 phone calls before and after? If so, try Lowes.

We had a back door installed. Really nice old man did it himself.....but the one million phone calls got annoying. After the millionth call (after it was done) we told them, we are very pleased, but do not call again. I still crack up about that....talk about "Over Customer Service!"

No need to take it personal when you poked fun at the big box boys.

Looking at getting the whole upstairs done, so trying to get a decent job done with good quality carpet and pad. I don't need cheap grade [censored], or poorly stretched that turns into waves a year later.

Mine is 2.5 years old. No issues so far. Lowe's did me right.

we used lowes on last 3 deals (weren't cheap projects either) simply because they were tha only ones ta follow up (appointments, return phone calls) with what they said they would do and when they would do it.. everyone else jus blew us off seemed like... they lost 'bout 10 grand!!!

We used Home Depot and are very satisfied. I have a personal beef with Lowes, so that probably has something to do with it.
