I don't give a flip if Diatomaceous earth is considered "organic" or "natural" or whatever. The bottom line is that is just does not work near as well as good old synthetic chemistry. Spray something with either organophosphates or synthetic pyrethroids as the active ingredients, and it will kill the chiggers. Will likely require a repeat treatment in a couple weeks. Good old Dursban is nice stuff - kills 'em deader than dead and has decent residual action.

Just found out about this stuff, shreads their insides,kills fly's , all kinds of pest. Vet told me, she uses it around here horse stalls..

I just spread Permethrin over my entire lawn. We will see if this stuff works. If not I'll need to borrow 1shots flame thrower.

I have romped all over the ranch since I was a kid and never had a chigger until this year. I don't know why but all of a sudden they tear me up.
I guess it's payback for getting to walk all over the place with shorts on for 55 years. Now I go through a can of off every week.

Chlordane...that stuff kills everything.
