I would definitely fish next year !! Media individual draws 50 boats or so

It has to be advertised on here and other ways i think. I never see ABA schedule, It just gets forgot about

It would have to be scheduled around other team tournaments in north Tx due to off limit periods or I believe others will choose to fish for 10-20K over say....3k

I fished BFL's for years in OH and GA both as a boater and as a non-boater. I really enjoyed the format. According to a couple of BFL officials that I have stayed in contact with say that one reason for N TX not have a circuit is that there are very few Ranger dealers in the area. You do not have to run a Ranger of course to participate but it's still a Ranger supported organization. You really can't count Cabelas as a Ranger dealer and the only other one around is at Lake Fork.

It's probably going to draw about like it used to. Just so many tournaments that leech off each other nowadays. Gotta pick one. If ram can't get big numbers with a 5k first place I don't see how a bfl will

FLW has failed in the north texas market over and over, they basically told all the anglers at the last north texas event, the Costa at texoma a few years ago, they were throwing in the towel for awhile on the region due to low turnout.

Well I would love to see a BFL in this area and really think it would get over 100 boats this go around.
I have several OK friends that would fish it. Either way I will still go down and fish the Cowboy division,if nothing else to compete against some of the best sticks in the country.
After fishing Costa Series for 3 years and then adding BFLs this year I can tell you that FLW is a great organization. All of their people from Mark McWha at the BFL level to Ron Lappin at Costa level and Bill Taylor at the tour level are some of the best youL find anywhere.
My first tour event at Lake Norman last fall, I had engine problems on day 2 and it was the first tournament that there was not a Mercuty service trailer onsite, as soon as the last boat left takeoff, the FLW crew loaned me the FLW Quaker State wrapped flag boat for me to fish out of for the day. They have always went above and beyond to accommodate their anglers.

Agree. Most guys don't have the time it takes to really compete in tournaments as far as practice and just TOW. So they pick one trail and concentrate on that one. That one is most likely champs because of the payout. I might try some ram tourneys this coming year but haven't made my mind up yet.

I think they would get more participation if they would go to different lakes not just Rayburn Toledo they should alternated them and add RC, Palistine, CC, Ray Roberts,PK, Whitney

It wont draw... those Deep East Texas boys will just stay home and fish one of the other 30 tournaments on Rayledo those weekends. The only reason they draw like they do at Rayledo is because folks from all over the State will drive there to fish, you wont get the same numbers of people willing to drive from the best lakes in the country to fish PK.

One problem with adding in those other lakes is a lack of community support and facilities like food and lodging. FLW has to see that the communities would make it worth their while to come in and put on a large tourney.
If they wanted to spread it around and not make it strictly a Rayledo division, it would make better sense to add in Fork, or maybe Hubbard, or even Conroe

A lot of the North Texas lakes host Bass Champs so they can handle a BFL easily. No slot lakes like Fork either.

Might need to look at TTT also. They do 4 different lake very year and it seems to work but that's also a team deal. Maybe the biggest factor is more people would rather do the team format over a boater/coangler format.
