Wife wants to go up DFW way and visit son over the 4th and I was thinking about throwing some rods in and sneaking out to Lewisville a day. Any place a guy can fish from bank and have a chance at getting any?

Thanks,

FI

I know LLELA has some good places to fish at. It's $5 to get in at the gate.

Old Lewisville Lake dam at the end of Garza Lane. Any typical catfish bait.

LLELA also a decent spot if you hike a way down stream.

FI, there's some reasonably accessible shoreline just south of the fishing barge. Just park along the roadway in the park and walk down the trails. Have sometimes had decent luck on catfish along there (even some smaller flatheads of 5-10 pounds).

Thanks guys.

I've been out with Tom before.
He is a fish catching machine.
I doubt he has the date open although.

If I go I'll post a report.

Thanks for this advice. I'm going tomorrow afternoon and was gonna go to LLELA in the morning. Figured with the storm coming in they would be closed all day tomorrow.
