Lake Fork Anglers every other week Thursday daytime tournament for June 22 had pending storms that finally blew in as everyone was leaving the lake.
For a change top waters did not dominate. Drop shots and c-rigs caught most of the fish. And for the first time this year there were no big slots caught. A lot of 4;s were however.

Only the five largest count.

Boaters:

First Place Angler went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with a 10 fish bag of 12.04 lb anchored by a 3.95 lunker.
Second place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 7 fish coming in at 10.52 with a 4.68 lunker.
Third place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 8 fish at 8.33lb with a 2.25 lunker.
Fourth place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with a 4 fish bag at 8.32 with a 4.31 lunker
Fifth place went to new member Gary Pardini of Tyler with a 3 fish bag for 7.43 with a 4.04 lunker.
The Boater lunker was caught by Ray Carter with a 4.87.

Co-Anglers

First place went to Butch Grove of Sulphur Springs with a 4 fish bag of 10.8 lb with the 4.87 co-angler lunker.
Second place went to John Berech of Garland with a 4 fish bag for 10.52 with the 4.31 lunker.
Third place went to Chuck Roy of Yantis with a 9.84 bag lb on 5 fish with a 2.25 lunker.
Fourth place went to Paul Spann of Fate with 3 fish for 5.23 with a 3.02 lunker.
Fifth place went to Charlie Arnold of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 5.18 with a 1.45 lunker.

Even with the approaching storm system the fishing basically sucked. Probably because the bass finally went into transition mode.

Only 99 fish were caught which is way down.

For info on fishing with the LFA e-mail me at sjbasser@aol.com or PM me on here. We are looking for boaters right now but will take co-anglers who have boats and will fill in in that capacity..
Dues is $5 a year. Tournaments are $12 with an optional $5 lunker pot and an optional $10 big bag pot.
In 2016 the LFA fished 25 times, You have to fish at least 8 to maintain membership. And you have to fish 8 times to be eligible to fish our other two formats: Major league Fishing (known as Hard Core) and the team format known as Faze 4.
