So I am going to pay for a crappie fishing trip for my Dad and bring my two youngest daughters (11 and 14). We've done it before (with my two oldest daughters) and went to Cedar Creek Lake and loved it. This forum is full of experienced crappie fishererpeoples so I wanna harness your expertise and I have no idea the best lake to fish for crappie.

Give me your thoughts knowing two adults and two kids on a boat. I live in Dallas near Plano and willing to drive ~90 minutes.

Who is your recommended guide knowing what I detailed? And knowing I want to learn how to find crappie so when I get my kayak I have a clue to finding them on my own....because i loves to eat me some crappie.

That's the easiest question ever asked on this forum! Lane Palmer. Wait till you see his boat!

Funny. Lane is the guy we went with a number of years ago on Cedar Creek Lake and we absolutely killed it and had a blast. Good to see the guy we went with is considered the best and the guy we will be going with again!!

Many thanks.

Cliff Spindle, Spindle Guide Service on Ray Roberts.

Spindle Guide Service

Great guy and he'll get you meat. He's a fun dude and family man. That said, most of these guides on here are good folks, trying to make a living and will get you and your dad on the fish.

Good luck!

Can't go wrong with Lane Palmer or Mark Standridge, but all these guys are good. I would also consider what time of year you want to go and how accomplished you and your family are as fishermen. That would make a difference on the lake and possible the guide as well.
