Took a customer there for a trip last week. Everything looked normal to me and the fishing was great!

I noticed the eel grass has tons of "algae" like stuff growing on the leaves.....it looks bad, but not dead.
Fishing is ok.

The video I just shared this morning was filmed on Athens. We caught 25-30, and tell the viewers where we caught em and what we used to catch em.

They have been schooling up the last month or more. The other day I was in the large open area on the far side (NW) of 2495 in my kayak and they started boiling up right in front of me. It stayed that way, small pods of bass chasing bait fish for hours. Same thing over right by the boat ramp. Several boats launched and just trolled over a hundred yards and caught quite a few fish.

Hmm? Sometimes we forget how very fast a bass can move. I'd see these bait fish springing out of the water trying to avoid getting tagged and a bass cutting through the water and covering 15 or 20 feet in a second or so I guess. Fast! These guys can really sprint.

They were biting late this afternoon. I fished edge of lily pads and in the Flat Creek channel itself (defined or edged by lily pads) . . . and the bass were very active.
