Great catch but I have to ask; did you skin them after heading them? Yes, because I drove off & left my skinner at the house(great place for it I know...lol), so we decided to behead & gut 'em there....Put them on ice till we returned home & finished the job...

I knew somebody that did them like that and then quickly dipped them in scalding boiling hot water and the skins would slide right off. Always thought I would try it one day but my electric knife is still working too good.

I used to nail through head to tree and skin them. Then I got my electric knife.
