I fish it once in awhile from my float tube. I've taken some decent sunfish from it but if you're thinking of going there you should drive a little farther and hit Lake Athens. It is a much better lake for sunfish.

I actually live closer to Athens, fished it once last year, moss was terrible and didn't really find any fish...

Duke1227,

I never fail to get them on Athens. You show to be in Chandler so it is a quick trip down here. I'm fishing from either a canoe or kayak. If you are bank fishing, Lake Athens is going to be really tough especially this year with a huge crop of lily pads and a new invasive, alligator weed.

How do you fish? Bank, boat, etc.?

Tips await.

Brad
