I had Mark, Mike and Steve out today on Lewisville chasing blue cats. After being gone on vacation in New York for 9 days Mother Nature welcomed me back to Texas. She greeted me with some great lightning while trying to find bait that seemed to have all disappeared. Then after a lightning delay we hit the lake. Shortly after getting on the lake she opened up the flood gates on us. Poured for hours and hours. Winds blew and died and blew and died all day long. Don't think the wind blew the same direction for more than 15 minutes all day. Then the sun popped out and the sauna got all warmed up. To top it off the fish bit, but just not aggressive enough and we missed a ton of bites. Finally finished with 25 well earned cats in the cooler. I bet that fish fry tonight felt like a victory meal after that day on the lake. Tomorrow has to be a better day.
